Course Description
This advanced CBT training builds on foundational skills and focuses on strengthening your ability to implement CBT interventions with greater depth and precision.
You will develop practical strategies for working with core beliefs, implementing behavioural experiments, and applying exposure therapy across anxiety presentations. The training also covers relapse prevention planning, ethical termination considerations, and troubleshooting when clients do not respond to standard CBT strategies.
Drawing on over a decade of clinical experience and advanced training at the Beck Institute with Dr Judith Beck and the late Dr Aaron T. Beck, this course emphasises structured application rather than theoretical review.
Learning Objectives
By completing this CPD training, you will be able to:
- Identify, evaluate, and modify core beliefs within a structured CBT framework
- Design and implement behavioural experiments to test and reshape maladaptive assumptions
- Apply exposure therapy techniques effectively across anxiety presentations
- Develop structured relapse prevention plans tailored to individual clients
- Determine clinical readiness for termination and navigate ethical considerations
