Course Description
For decades, Autism has largely been understood through visible and externalised traits. However, many Autistic people do not fit these outdated stereotypes. They mask, compensate, and adapt in ways that conceal their distress and differences. As a result, they are frequently overlooked or misunderstood.
This on-demand professional development training provides an updated and evidence-informed understanding of masked Autism across the lifespan. It explores how Autism may present differently in women, people of colour, gender diverse individuals, and those with higher cognitive ability.
You will gain practical insight into how internalised and subtle presentations manifest in real-world contexts. The training includes applied examples and clinical explanations designed to improve recognition, understanding, and supportive responses.
This course is suitable for both professionals and community members who want to deepen their understanding of Autism beyond stereotypical assumptions.
